Sidney Kahn House

The Sidney Kahn House is a four-story residence on Calhoun Terrace that appears to grow directly from the rocky Telegraph Hill hillside. Designed in nineteen thirty-nine by the Austrian architect Richard Neutra, this steel and wood structure features balconies that curve at their ends and large windows oriented toward the Financial District and the bay. It remains a notable example of the International Style in San Francisco.
