Soundscape Park is defined by its undulating green lawn and sweeping, white concrete pathways that wind through groves of palms. Opened in twenty eleven, this two and a half acre space replaced a concrete parking lot in the heart of the Miami Beach City Center district. Designed by the Dutch firm West 8, the park was created to serve as an outdoor extension of the neighboring New World Center, which was designed by architect Frank Gehry.
