The Fillmore Miami Beach is defined by its Art Deco architecture and a grand entrance marked by a porte-cochere. Located on Washington Avenue within the Miami Beach Convention Center complex, the building opened in nineteen fifty as the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium. It quickly became a prominent stage for television variety programs, notably serving as the home for The Jackie Gleason Show after the comedian moved his CBS production from New York in nineteen sixty-four.
