Oolite Arts occupies space on the second floor at nine twenty-four Lincoln Road. In nineteen eighty-four, this institution began as ArtCenter South Florida, an organization founded by potter Ellie Schneiderman. At the time, she secured twenty-one storefronts along a dilapidated stretch of Lincoln Road, using federal grant funds to provide affordable workspaces for local visual artists.
