The River Theater is a series of terraced concrete steps that cascade from Upper Wacker Drive down toward the water level of the Chicago River. Shaded by honey locust trees, the space acts as a pedestrian link between the city streetscape and the riverfront, designed as part of the broader Chicago Riverwalk expansion that was completed in phases beginning in two thousand and fifteen.
