The Mallers Building, located at five South Wabash Avenue, stands out for its marble entryway that opens into a twenty-one-story tower dedicated to the jewelry trade. Completed in nineteen twelve, this structure serves as the primary hub for Chicago’s historic Jewelers Row. Inside, over one hundred and eighty jewelers, gem dealers, and bench artisans work across the building's floors, creating a vertical community where loose diamonds are sold and custom engagement rings are fabricated by hand.
