The Old Post Office

The Old Post Office is a massive, limestone-clad Art Deco structure that spans two full city blocks and physically straddles the Eisenhower Expressway. Designed by the firm Graham, Anderson, Probst, and White, its footprint is so vast that highway lanes were built directly through its base to allow traffic to flow underneath the building.
