St. Stephen's Catholic Church

St. Stephen's Catholic Church rises above Hanover Street as a red-brick edifice defined by its prominent bell tower and cupola. Designed by the architect Charles Bulfinch and completed in eighteen oh four, this building stands as the only one of his five Boston churches still in existence. It was originally constructed as the New North Church for a Congregational society, a group that once counted Paul Revere among its members.
