The Fremont Hotel and Casino is marked by its twelve-story tower, which, when it opened on May eighteenth, nineteen fifty-six, stood as the tallest building in the state of Nevada. Designed by architect Wayne McAllister, the structure features a distinct cantilevered layout where none of the original one hundred fifty-five guest rooms sit directly above another.
