Georgia O'Keeffe Museum

The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is housed in a building that reflects the region’s traditional adobe style, an aesthetic the artist herself embraced throughout her years in Northern New Mexico. Established in July nineteen ninety-seven, eleven years after her death, the museum is the first art institution in the United States dedicated to the work of a woman artist of international stature. It holds the largest repository of O'Keeffe's work in the world, including over three thousand pieces ranging from her early abstract drawings to her signature large-format flower and desert landscape paintings.
