The Santa Fe Depot is a California Mission Style building located in the city’s historic Railyard district. Constructed in nineteen oh nine by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the stuccoed brick structure features a design that was once instrumental in establishing a distinct architectural identity for the region. While it originally served as a bustling hub for transcontinental passengers and freight, the depot now functions as the northern terminus for the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter train.
