San Miguel Chapel is a small, flat-roofed adobe structure identified by its single, multi-tiered wooden bell tower. Built around sixteen-ten, it stands in the former Barrio de Analco, an area once populated by Indigenous Tlaxcalan laborers and Spanish settlers living on the opposite side of the Santa Fe River from the city's government center.
