The Cairns Aquarium is a three-story facility on Florence Street that you can identify by its modern glass-and-steel facade, which houses seventy-one separate exhibits. Since opening in September twenty-seventeen, it has operated as the only aquarium in the world dedicated exclusively to the plants and animals of the Wet Tropics rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef.
