Cairns Art Gallery, Mulgrave Building

The Mulgrave Building is a heritage-listed structure defined by its distinctive Queenslander-style architecture, marked by a timber wrap-around verandah. Constructed between nineteen twelve and nineteen thirteen, it originally served as the Mulgrave Shire Council Chambers. It is the oldest of the three historic venues that now make up the Cairns Art Gallery precinct, sitting alongside the nineteen twenty-one Court House Building and the nineteen thirty-six Public Curator's Building.
