The Cairns Post building on Abbott Street is defined by its blue and white facade and bold classical style. Built in nineteen oh eight, this structure served as the headquarters for the city's premier newspaper for over a century. Architect Harvey Draper designed the premises to reflect the growing prominence of Cairns as a regional center, and the building became a fixture of the central business district.
