Fresque Hommage à Tony Tollet

This fresco is recognizable by five large, vertically aligned panels that stretch across four stories of an apartment building on Rue Pareille. It was inaugurated in September two thousand twelve to honor the Lyonnais painter Tony Tollet, a fixture of the city's art scene who lived from eighteen fifty-seven to nineteen fifty-three. The mural, designed by the local collective CitéCréation, features a central image of Tollet at work in his studio on Rue Bourgelat, surrounded by four other canvases that showcase specific selections from his body of work.
