The Odeon of Lyon is a compact, semi-circular Roman structure built into the slopes of Fourvière Hill. You can identify it by the intricate, geometric marble flooring preserved in its orchestra section, featuring colorful stones sourced from as far away as Egypt, Greece, and Turkey. It stands alongside a much larger ancient theatre, forming one of the only two such paired complexes known in Roman Gaul.
