Maison Thomassin

landmark

The Maison Thomassin sits at number two Place du Change as one of the oldest residences in Lyon. Its facade features a distinct Gothic style, marked by tall, pointed arches and rows of stone-carved coats of arms. These emblems represent figures including the Dauphin, King Charles the Eighth, and Anne of Brittany. While much of this exterior was reworked in fourteen ninety-three, the house dates back to twelve ninety-eight, when it was originally built for the family of Fuers.
