The Église Saint-Paul is defined by its octagonal lantern tower, which rises above the surrounding buildings of the Saint-Paul district. Founded in the sixth century, the structure has undergone numerous reconstructions, shifting between Romanesque and Gothic styles across fifteen centuries. During the French Revolution, the building served as a storage site for saltpeter before returning to its role as a parish church in eighteen hundred and one.
