The Quai des Pêcheurs runs along the eastern bank of the Ill River in Strasbourg. You can identify this stretch by the water-facing buildings that stand directly across from the narrow waterway, separating the Krutenau neighborhood from the city center. Originally known as the Quai d'Aval or lower quay, it took its current name in the fifteenth century to identify the fishermen who lived here.
