The Jardin Yacine-Kateb is tucked behind residential buildings at eighteen rue Antoine Watteau, a green space characterized by its collection of Chinese fan palms and a series of twenty-seven small, individual garden plots. Created in the year two thousand, the site was originally a private garden for the surrounding social housing complex before the city named it in honor of the Algerian novelist, poet, and playwright Kateb Yacine.
