Drouant

Drouant, located on Place Gaillon in the second arrondissement of Paris, is defined by its ornate, spiral staircase designed by the Art Deco master Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann in nineteen twenty-four. Founded as a simple bar and tobacco shop by Charles Drouant in eighteen eighty, the establishment evolved into a renowned culinary and literary institution. It gained early popularity by serving fresh oysters from Brittany, attracting figures such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Colette.
