Gustave Moreau Museum

The Gustave Moreau Museum is identifiable by the tall, brick-and-stone facade of a nineteenth-century townhome at fourteen, rue de la Rochefoucauld. Inside, the building retains the character of a home and studio, featuring a striking spiral staircase that connects the two upper-floor workshops. These rooms were specifically designed to display the artist’s large-scale, fantastical paintings in the exact setting where he worked.
