Porte Saint-Honoré

The Porte Saint-Honoré was not a single structure, but a series of three fortified city gates that once marked the western boundary of Paris. As the city expanded over the centuries, each gate was demolished and rebuilt further along the path of the Rue Saint-Honoré. These gates served as the primary western entry point for travelers and royalty heading toward Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
