Maison Poincaré

The Maison Poincaré occupies the Jean Perrin building, a structure easily identified by the dome crowning its roof. Opened in September twenty twenty-three, this site is the first museum in France entirely dedicated to mathematics. It sits within the Pierre and Marie Curie University campus, directly across from the Institut Henri Poincaré. The building originally served as a laboratory for physical chemistry, founded by the physicist Jean Perrin, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in nineteen twenty-six.
