Temple des Chartrons

The Temple des Chartrons features a neoclassical façade defined by four tall Ionic columns and a triangular pediment. A stone bas-relief depicting an open Bible resting upon clouds is carved into that pediment. The architect Armand Corcelles designed the structure, which was built between eighteen thirty-two and eighteen thirty-five for the Protestant community of this merchant district.
