A giant, sky-blue lion dominates the center of Place Stalingrad in the La Bastide district. Standing eight meters long and six meters tall, the sculpture is made of geometric facets that give it a digital, pixelated appearance. Its right foreleg rests upon a rock, and its head is raised to gaze across the Garonne River toward the city’s historic left bank.
