Church of St. Anne

The Church of St. Anne on Batthyány Square is defined by its two fifty-five-meter-tall bell towers that rise above the Buda side of the Danube. Built between seventeen forty and seventeen sixty-two, the church features a baroque façade decorated with allegorical carvings representing Faith, Hope, and Charity. Above the main portal, a stone grouping depicts Saint Anne presenting the young Virgin Mary, while higher up, the Eye of Providence is surrounded by angels.
