Szent István Park

Szent István Park occupies a space once filled by a parquet factory, a history now hidden beneath an expanse of greenery set against the Danube. Opened to the public on April first, nineteen thirty-six, the park was designed by the Budapest Public Works Council to provide a formal, open garden for the rapidly growing Újlipótváros district. It is distinguished by its direct connection to the riverbank and its proximity to a row of late nineteen twenties Bauhaus apartment buildings.
