Gul Baba’s Tomb & Memorial Garden

Gül Baba’s Tomb is an octagonal stone structure topped by a dome clad in lead. It sits on the hill of Rózsadomb, functioning as the northernmost Islamic pilgrimage site in the world. Built between fifteen forty-three and fifteen forty-eight, the tomb marks the final resting place of a Bektashi dervish and poet who arrived in Buda alongside Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
