Chaina Ram Sindhi Halwai is recognized by its perpetually crowded shop front near the seventeenth-century Fatehpuri Masjid. Established in nineteen oh one, the business originally operated in the Anarkali Bazaar of Lahore. When the Partition of India occurred in nineteen forty-seven, the founding family left their home and settled in Old Delhi, carrying only their traditional recipes and generations of craftsmanship across the border.
