Paranthe Wali Gali

Paranthe Wali Gali is a narrow, bustling lane in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi defined by the persistent, heavy scent of sizzling ghee. While the street itself was laid out in the sixteen fifties by Princess Jahanara Begum, it was originally known as Chota Dariba and lined with shops selling silver. It earned its present name in the eighteen seventies, when vendors began moving in to sell parathas, a type of stuffed flatbread.
