Fatehpuri Masjid is defined by its massive, fluted dome and the twin minarets that rise above the red sandstone facade at the western end of Chandni Chowk. Constructed in sixteen fifty by Fatehpuri Begum, a wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the second-largest mosque in Delhi. Its design features a prayer hall with seven arched openings and a vast central courtyard.
