Lothian Cemetery

Lothian Cemetery is defined by its weathered, centuries-old gravestones that lean beneath wild shrubs, often obscured behind formidable iron gates near the Kashmere Gate area. Established in eighteen hundred and eight, it is the oldest Christian burial ground in Delhi. The site holds the remains of British officers, soldiers, and civilians who lived in the city during the nineteenth century, including those who perished during the Indian Rebellion of eighteen hundred and fifty-seven.
