Beit Dizengoff, located at sixteen Rothschild Boulevard, is a building of simple, historic stature that once served as the private residence of Meir Dizengoff, the first mayor of Tel Aviv, and his wife, Zina. The house, initially constructed of kurkar stone, became a hub for the city’s early cultural and political life. In nineteen thirty, following his wife’s death, Dizengoff donated the home to the city to function as an art museum, leading to its eventual redesign by architect Carl Rubin in the International Style.
