Eitaro Sohonpo is a confectionery store known for its kintsuba, a traditional Japanese sweet consisting of red bean paste wrapped in a thin layer of wheat-flour dough. The shop’s signature round kintsuba, shaped like the handguard of a samurai sword, remains the modern version of a snack once sold from a humble food cart at the nearby Nihonbashi fish market.
