Virgin Mary shrine

The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is marked by the elaborate stone crown that sits atop its central tower, a silhouette visible from across the city. This parish is the religious heart of the community, standing on the site of a smaller chapel that was first dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe in nineteen oh one. Construction of the current building began in nineteen oh three, though the structure reached its present form over several decades, with the main tower finished in nineteen fifty-two.
