Mundo de Azulejos is a workshop and shop overflowing with hand-painted Talavera ceramics, identified by the vibrant, glazed tiles and pottery that fill the storefront on Venustiano Carranza. Founded over thirty years ago by Benigno Ibarra Castañeda, the business began when Ibarra decided to open the first shop in town dedicated to these specific Mexican tiles. When his early suppliers failed to deliver, he moved the production process in-house, establishing a workshop that trained a new generation of local artisans.
