Foundouk Tadlaoui is a historic structure tucked into the artisan district of the Marrakesh Medina. Like other traditional foundouks, this building originally functioned as a caravanserai, a place where traveling merchants once stabled their animals on the ground floor while staying in rooms on the levels above. It sits in a dense network of lanes near the spice and metalworkers' souks, a location chosen by traders centuries ago for its proximity to the city's commercial heart.
