Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist

The Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist is defined by its dark, stepped brick facade, a hallmark of the Masovian Gothic style that has stood on Świętojańska Street since the fourteenth century. As the mother church of the Archdiocese of Warsaw, it has functioned for centuries as a national pantheon and the site for royal coronations, including those of Stanisław Leszczyński in seventeen oh five and Stanisław August Poniatowski in seventeen sixty-four.
