Warsaw Ghetto boundary markers

The Warsaw Ghetto boundary markers consist of twenty-two sites throughout the city where cast-iron plates are embedded in the pavement or bronze plaques are fixed to walls or concrete posts. Each marker includes a map of the ghetto’s farthest borders and a brief history in Polish and English. These monuments trace the perimeter of the area sealed off by Nazi Germany in November nineteen forty, where hundreds of thousands of Jewish people were forced to live under extreme conditions.
