The Fonte dos Pisões is a semicircular stone fountain located on Avenida Almeida Garrett. Designed by José da Fonseca and built by the Tourism Initiative Commission in nineteen thirty-one, it replaced an earlier tank that had long provided water to the local population. The fountain features a stepped predella flanked by two large stone vases, with a central circular panel decorated with vibrant tiles from the Fábrica Cerâmica Constância in Lisbon.
