Jardim da Preta

The Jardim da Preta sits on a terrace to the west of the National Palace of Sintra, providing a viewpoint over the surrounding hills and the historical center. You can identify the space by a large, twisted Manueline-style column standing at its center. This stone pillar originally occupied the square in front of the Palace Courtyard until the beginning of the twentieth century.
