The Al Ma'amar Mosque rises significantly above the street level in the Al Balad district, a height that requires worshipers arriving from the eastern side to ascend stairs to reach its entrance. As the second oldest historical mosque in Jeddah's old town, it sits near Barahat Nasif, positioned where the alleyways of Al Mazloom meet the road leading toward the Al Alawi market.
