경주향교

Gyeongju Hyanggyo is marked by a traditional layout of Confucian buildings set within a quiet, walled compound. It sits on the ground once occupied by Gukhak, the Silla Kingdom’s national academy established in the year six hundred eighty-two. As a provincial Confucian school during the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, it served as a center for local education and ancestral rites, training the children of the ruling elite.
