Can Barceló

Can Barceló sits on a corner of Plaça de Quadrado, marked by a modernist façade that breaks from the city’s more sober stonework. Built between nineteen oh two and nineteen oh four, this multi-family residence was designed by Bartomeu Ferrà i Perelló on the site of a former textile factory. The building served as a home for the family of businessman Bartomeu Barceló Mir, who had previously operated his weaving mill on this exact plot of land.
