E-Bus Zermatt

The E-Bus of Zermatt is a small, boxy electric vehicle, often painted in bright red or green, that navigates the narrow, car-free streets of this alpine village. Because Zermatt prohibits combustion-engine cars, these buses were developed to manage the flow of residents, tourists, and luggage across town without disrupting the quiet or the air quality. You can distinguish them by their compact, aluminum-bodied frames, built specifically to stay under strict width and height limits while carrying passengers between the central train station, local hotels, and the major mountain cableway stations.
