The Inderbinen Fountain in the historic village center of Zermatt honors the local mountain guide Ulrich Inderbinen. Erected in two thousand, the fountain celebrates the hundredth birthday of a man who became a legend in the Alpine climbing community. A wooden bench sits alongside the gurgling water, which is sourced from the mountains and remains safe to drink.
