Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis

The Matterhorn Museum, also known as Zermatlantis, occupies a subterranean space beneath the village square, where a glass roof admits light into an excavated reconstruction of nineteenth-century Zermatt. This sunken village contains fourteen small, restored buildings that trace the history of the area from its origins as a mountain farming community to its emergence as a global destination.
