Government House rises from the heights of Mount Fitzwilliam as a striking, conch-pink Georgian mansion with stark white columns. This building serves as the official residence of the Governor-General of the Bahamas. Its position on the ridge has provided a constant vantage point over Nassau Harbour since the first residence for Governor Richard Fitzwilliam was established on this ten-acre estate in seventeen thirty-seven.
